On this premium guided tour you’ll get the chance to step foot on to the Globe Stage giving you a moment to take the spotlight. Follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest actors who have performed on the Globe Stage as you enter through stage door into the tiring house before opening the doors and walking out on to the stage.
This exclusive tour offers you the only chance to step out onto the stage, giving you a unique photo opportunity. After spending some time on the stage your expert Guide will bring to life the thrilling story of our iconic wooden ‘O’. Hear how the original 1599 theatre survived the plague, fire and political oppression and rose again in the 1990s as part of one man’s radical vision. Wonder at its craftsmanship and imagine how thousands of Londoners once packed in to see the greatest actors of the day.
After the tour continue in our walk-through exhibition space, you’ll be immersed in the sights, sounds, and secrets of Shakespeare’s London, travelling through over 400 years of fascinating history. You’ll be able to relive some of our most iconic shows with seasonally curated displays, and even have the chance to get ready for the stage yourself with interactive costumes and props.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
During your visit, it’s possible that the Globe Tour will visit multiple floors within the theatre. These levels are accessed by four or eight flights of stairs, using our external stairway tower. We are able to offer lift access to other floors, subject to operations.

The usual route for our tours includes stairs and is outdoors. Please let us know during the booking process or email us if anyone in your party has any access requirements. This will enable us to ensure the tour is as accessible as possible. The upper levels of our theaters are accessible via a lift. We encourage anyone with access requirements to join our Access Scheme for information on suitable tours, ticket prices and upcoming accessible tours.
