Bring your study of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy of wit and wooing, Much Ado About Nothing, to life in this practical GCSE Study Boost day for ages 14–16. This is an in-person event hosted on-site at Shakespeare’s Globe.
Start your day with a peek inside the Globe Theatre and hear about the history of Shakespeare’s London and the theatrical world he created.
Then, in one of our rehearsal studios, jump into an interactive workshop led by a highly experienced Education Practitioner and explore the play’s language, characters and themes using a range of acting techniques and drama activities. You’ll develop key skills and a practical toolkit that you can carry forward into your study and exams.
You’ll complete your experience by watching a performance of Much Ado About Nothing in the Globe itself.
Please note that these workshops are designed for young people aged 14 – 16 attending independently. Parents and guardians can enjoy the Globe’s food and drinks offer during the workshop, and book themselves tickets to the matinee performance of Much Ado About Nothing here.
Approximate timings of the day run as follows (subject to slight changes)
- 30 minute tour of the Globe
- 90 minute practical workshop
- 60 minute break
- Followed by a performance of Much Ado About Nothing
