Bring your study of Shakespeare’s bloody tragedy Macbeth to life in this practical GCSE Boost day designed for ages 13–16, who may not be familiar with the play.
Start your day with a peek inside the Globe Theatre and hear about the history of Shakespeare’s London and the theatrical world he created.
Then, in one of our rehearsal studios, jump into an interactive workshop led by a highly experienced education practitioner and explore the play’s language, characters and themes using a range of acting techniques and drama activities. You’ll develop a basic understanding of key themes and characters, and a practical toolkit to begin your in-depth study of the play.
Please note that these workshops are designed for young people aged 13–16 attending independently. Parents and guardians can enjoy the Globe’s food and drinks offer during the workshop.
We also offer sessions with a GCSE revision focus, suited to those who have already studied the play.
