Delve into the ‘rotten…state of Denmark’ in this practical workshop focusing on Hamlet, for those aged 17-19.
Exploring themes of grief, madness, and family relationships, this play contains some of Shakespeare’s best-known speeches. This in-depth session will analyse Shakespeare’s use of language and stagecraft and will take place in one of our rehearsal spaces. Led by one of the Globe’s highly experienced education practitioners, this workshop will develop understanding through active discussion and practical drama activities.
This workshop is an engaging way to enhance studies of Shakespeare and theatre, or a brilliant opportunity for aspiring young actors and Shakespeare enthusiasts to explore the story. No previous experience is required, just a desire to jump in and enjoy.
Tickets must be purchased by over 18s, but this event is designed for young adults 17-19 to attend independently. Parents and guardians can enjoy the Globe’s food and drinks offer during the workshop.
