Join a Family Guided Tour and discover London’s iconic Globe Theatre together. Ideal for those with children aged 7-11, our tour introduces younger visitors to Shakespeare’s London and to the theatrical world he created.
Who went to the theatre in Shakespeare’s England? What was a penny groundling? What was the smell like at the Globe? Step into the Globe Theatre here at Shakespeare’s Globe and learn about Elizabethan theatre and stage practices. From blood and gore to poetry and prose, this guided tour will delight and disgust.
Plus, included in your ticket is access to our brand-new, walk-through exhibition space, where you’ll be immersed in the sights, sounds, and secrets of Shakespeare’s London, travelling through over 400 years of fascinating history. You’ll be able to relive some of our most iconic shows with seasonally curated displays, and even have the chance to get ready for the stage yourself with interactive costumes and props.
All tours are in English and suitable for all ages. Information sheets are available in a number of languages. We are an open-air theatre and tours go ahead in all conditions so dress for the weather.
Please note, subject to activity taking place on stage due to the nature of our working theatre, certain restrictions may apply on your Tour, including photography. Information will be available on the day or can be found by contacting Box Office.
