Enhance your approach to facilitating classroom conversations about sexism, misogyny, and depictions of women in Shakespeare in this practical and interactive CPD workshop, designed for Secondary English and Drama teachers. This is an in-person event hosted on-site at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Focusing on four women in Shakespeare’s plays – Juliet, Lady Macbeth, Beatrice and Hero – you will draw together critical writing with practice from the Globe’s rehearsal rooms to re-evaluate these characters for our times.

Led by an experienced Globe Practitioner, you will explore how these techniques can be adapted for the classroom to encourage students to examine their own reactions to Shakespeare’s portrayal of women.

• A 30 minute tour of the Globe Theatre
• A two hour workshop with an expert practitioner
• A teacher resource pack to help you embed your learning in the classroom
