Learn new skills to build an anti-racist approach to teaching Shakespeare in the classroom.
A practical and interactive workshop taking place on-site at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. Designed for Secondary English and Drama teachers, it draws on Othello and The Tempest.
The plays will be examined through the lens of anti-racism and the outsider and look at how we can identify parallel occurrences in contemporary society. The workshop will be delivered by an experienced Globe Education Practitioner.
Shakespeare’s Globe is committed to understanding historic bias and racism within our organisation and bringing about lasting change. As part of this conversation our programme includes regular CPDs for teachers and the recent launch of a new series of webinars.
