Welcome to the Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream 2021 dedicated online learning area. Designed for teachers and students, this online resource for A Midsummer Night’s Dream will provide a range of engaging classroom activities that reflect the National Curriculum for English and the Assessment Objectives for GCSE and A-Level English Literature.
It will also give you a chance to glimpse behind the scenes and see how the director and the cast create the world of the play, thus allowing Drama students to learn more about the process behind creating our interpretation of Shakespeare’s text. OUR THANKS TO DEUTSCHE BANK
Deutsche Bank has supported an annual Playing Shakespeare production in the Globe Theatre since 2007. The 90-minute production, created especially for a schools audience, is complemented with free workshops and online activities.
18,000 free school tickets are given every year to London and Birmingham state secondary schools. Nearly half a million people watched this year’s Macbeth premiere online after our production was interrupted in March. Over 200,000 students have been given free tickets to see Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank productions at the Globe.
