Season's Greetings from Shakespeare's Globe
We wish you all the joy that you can wish for this holiday season

Season’s Greetings from all of us at Shakespeare’s Globe.
From all of us here at Shakespeare’s Globe, we wish you a joyful festive season and look forward to a bright and hopeful 2022. Thank you for all your support this past year: we couldn’t have reopened our doors without you.
If you’re visiting our Bankside site over the next few weeks, see what’s on in our London home below and check our opening hours to make the most of your visit.

Our Sam Wanamaker Playhouse will reopen for performances from 4 January 2022.
Measure for Measure in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse
Performances of Measure for Measure until 31 December 2021 have now been cancelled, and we’ll be taking a short break and reopening the doors to our Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 4 January 2022. If you had a ticket for one of our cancelled performances, our Box Office team will have been in touch.
Measure for Measure will continue to run from 4 – 15 January 2022 and tickets are still available. We cannot wait to welcome you into our candlelit Playhouse once more in the New Year!
The Fir Tree in the Globe Theatre
This year’s Christmas show, The Fir Tree, is a magical reimagination of Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tale, and guarantees a fantastic time for the whole family. Performances continue to run in our outdoor Globe Theatre until 30 December 2021, with Covid-19 health & safety measures in place.

The Fir Tree is now playing in our open-air Globe Theatre.

Our Guided Tours of the Globe Theatre will also be running over the festive period.
Globe Theatre Guided Tours
Discover the world of an Elizabethan theatre, find out how much you would’ve had to pay to see a show and, of course, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of our beautiful wintry wooden ‘O’ on a Globe Theatre Guided Tour! Tours run from 10.00am until 23 December, and from 27 to 31 December, before resuming in the New Year from 6 January 2022.
Globe Shop
Our Shop on Bankside is the perfect stop for last-minute stocking fillers, as well as offering a variety of Shakespeare-themed souvenirs to take home with you to mark your visit to the Globe Theatre. Treat thyself until 23 December and be sure to check opening hours over the holiday season below!
Our online Shop is open for orders 24/7, though please bear with our team as it may take a little longer to package and dispatch your purchases during this busy period.
