Margaret Casely-Hayford became Chancellor of Coventry University in 2017. She was Chair of Charity ActionAid UK (2014-2017), and a Non-Exec Director of the Co-op since 2016.  She’s a trustee of the Radcliffe Trust and chaired the Carnegie/Greenaway book Awards diversity review. After 30 years in law as Director of Legal for John Lewis Partnership, and as a partner at City law firm, Dentons, she now has a portfolio of activities including advising young entrepreneurs and those seeking board careers; and is Advisory Board Chair of Ultra Education, which provides entrepreneurial skills teaching. She’s Patron of John Staples Society, supporting the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools develop cultural capital. Margaret was a Government-appointed non-executive director of NHS England (2012-2016); a special trustee of Great Ormond St Children’s Hospital Charity (2000 -2008); and also trustee of the Geffrye Museum (2000-2008).
