Macy-Jacob Seelochan

Macy-Jacob is a graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. Most recently, MJ played Phillida in the revival of John Lyly’s 450 year-old play, Galatea, which headlined the 2023 Brighton Festival. MJ was also The Nottingham Playhouse’s Associate Artist for 2022, and as such created their first solo stage show, Jacob Wants His Grandad, which toured to the Playhouse after previewing in London at both The Pleasance & Theatre Deli.

Further stage credits include: Groove (Shoreditch Town Hall); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nottingham Playhouse); Don’t Smoke in Bed (Vaults Festival); Nevergreen (Arcola Theatre); Don’t Touch Me (Leicester Curve); & Dear Elizabeth (Gate Theatre).

Screen credits include: Shadow & Bone (Netflix); Plaggy Bag (British Film Institute & Opt8); and two self-produced short films, Mundane Living & A Casting Room, the latter being a finalist at Pinewood Studio’s Lift-Off Festival 2020.

This is Macy-Jacob’s Globe debut.
