Liv Morris

Liv Morris is a writer, composer, theatre-maker, director and dramaturg. She is one half of critically-acclaimed musical double act Bourgeois & Maurice. With B&M she has created 9 full length theatre productions, released 6 albums, and toured extensively around the UK and internationally.

In 2020 they wrote the music, lyrics and book for Insane Animals a large scale queer sci-fi musical which premiered at HOME, Manchester and became one of the venue’s best-selling shows.

In 2023 they wrote original songs for Shakespeare’s Globe’s critically-acclaimed production of Titus Androniucs directed by Jude Christian, and are currently under commission to write two stage musicals, including one for Ireland’s Abbey Theatre.

As a solo practitioner her current projects include: writing and directing Queen of the Serpents – a musical show for kids, commissioned by South by South East Festival in Canterbury; dramaturg/director on Brigitte Aphrodite and Quiet Boy’s A Message for the Future at ArtsDepot; dramaturg and associate director on Lords of Strut’s new kids musical Dream Factory which will premiere at Dublin Theatre Festival in 2024.

She has also been a script reader for Soho Theatre, National Theatre, and the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.
