BIOGRAPHY
Cory Hippolyte
Cory Hippolyte is an actor, facilitator, teacher and director. He trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
His previous work at Shakespeare’s Globe includes: as assistant director, last year’s production of Hansel & Gretel; A Comedy of Errors, Antony & Cleopatra, and Twelfth Night with Rutgers University. As director, Much Ado About Nothing with Rutgers University; and The Tempest with East 15. As an actor, King Lear.
Other work as assistant director includes credits for: The Inquiry (Chichester); and The Tempest (Regent’s Park/Unicorn). Credits as a director include Macbeth (RADA/NYU).
Other work includes: The Hot Wing King (National Theatre) as staff director; Twelfth Night (Regent’s Park) as associate director; Codes & Daggers (Kiln) as co-creator and writer; and Unexpected Adventure (Kiln) as co-director.
Acting credits include: Baby Show (Unicorn); Reformation Nation (Lattitude / National Theatre / Paines Plough); Take a Deep Breath, Skeen! (Ovalhouse); and Nine Rooms (Old Vic Tunnels). TV acting credits include: African Queens: Njinga (Winner of Three Emmys).
