Experience our electrifying 90-minute production of Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank: The Tempest in the Globe Theatre. Created especially for young people, it’s the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for everyone.

On a remote island, Prospero commands spirit Ariel to wreck a passing ship. Washed ashore, the ship’s passengers – and the island’s inhabitants – are soon caught up in a magical plot of love, revenge and forgiveness. Can everyone find the freedom they are searching for?

Following Summer 2022’s ‘undeniably joyous’ (The Stage) Julius Caesar, award-winning Director Diane Page returns to the Globe.

Dedicated schools’ performances of Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank: The Tempest take place between 2–30 March 2023. Visit our Teachers’ Page to find out more information.

Content guidance: This play contains stage fighting (including knife use) and themes of loss, grief and sexual assault. Please contact the ticketing team on 020 7401 9919 or email if you would like further details.
